Orbita is an advanced concept microfocus x-ray system for manual and programmed inspection of large area PCB’s and electronic components. The vertical imaging axis can be tilted through 75° providing high magnification oblique views of the sample. Full 360 degree rotations at any angle of tilt, within the large scan area are possible. Region of interest is maintained mechanically by the manipulator. Parallel tracking provides a quick and easy means of inspecting array components. Sample collision with the x-ray source is impossible due to the innovative manipulator design, sample collision with the detector is avoided through a simple numerical height limit set either by the operator or the automatic routine within the control software.
