4 years ago, X-Tek ‘broke the mold’ by developing a 100kV miniature high voltage generator and combining it with a new type of open type x-ray tube (XI tube). 160kV XI tubes followed shortly after. For you, the customer, the XI tube provides a giant leap in reliability and stability over the separate generators that our competitors use. Tube servicing by an X-Tek technician is not required and X-Tek is no longer tied to a third party supplier, subsequently this lowers initial system cost and future servicing fees. Today, we continue to develop generator and tube combinations far beyond 160kV.
System developments include the Linx and the ground breaking Orbita. LinX systems are low cost, yet still supplied with the XI tube – unheard of for a low cost system. The Orbita has features far beyond those of our competitors, a high end system suitable for complete automated contract inspection requirements, yet unlike our competitors systems the Orbita may also be used for manual failure analysis.

X-Tek’s standard range of systems are manufactured in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations CFR1020.40 and the Ionizing Radiation Regulations 1999 (UK) and associated Code of Practice, and are rated for continuous operation in normal working environments.
